Mobile Tyre Fitting
Tyres are the main contact point to the road, but the connecting point is as big as our palm. This is why it is important that tyres have enough tread to perform as they should in all weather conditions. The main material of a tyre is rubber which deteriorates over time from age and weathering, making the tyres weak and causing cracking and effecting the vehicles essential need to grip, particularly with braking. This is why it is important to check the condition of your tyres before setting off on a journey.
As well as tyre condition, we need to consider tyre pressure. You must make sure the pressure is as requested by the vehicles manufacture under load and normal driving conditions. This varies from vehicle to vehicle. The balanced tyre pressure ensures your vehicle can roll efficiently enough without spending too much fuel, and acts as part of the vehicles suspension. If there is an imbalance of pressure across the tyres, this can cause the vehicle to pull to one side, and effect the performance which can lead to loss of control. Too much tyre pressure causes premature wear.
Apart from safety, it is important to stay on top of your tyre condition, as if you are caught by the national services with less than 1.6mm of tread, you can receive 3 points and a hefty fine for each tyre.
